the lincoln financial foundation collection

A collection of photos, ads, business letters, and newspaper clippings, mostly pertaining to E. M. Viquesney's statue, "Lincoln as an Indiana Boy", AKA "I Will Get Ready and Maybe Some Day My Chance Will Come". It also contains other documents regarding Viquesney's religious statue, "The Unveiling" and other works including versions of the Doughboy.

Click on the title graphic to access the file, or click here. Once at the site, individual pages can be accessed by means of a menu bar (or just click on a right-hand page to go to the next). There is even an audio feature for the hearing-impaired.

Although the Lincoln Financial Foundation collection is under the joint curatorship of the Indiana State Museum and the Allen County Public Library, there are no Viquesney exhibits at the museum; the collection is stored at the library.
